The Concert Division of the 2017 30th annual PAFE Festival includes five free concerts that feature the most outstanding artists from the Festival. A performer can discover the real magic of music when they perform for an audience and hear the warmth of their applause. All concerts are in the Sanctuary of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.
Concerto Playoff Concert - April 6, 2018 7:00 PM
The First Place winners from the Concerto classes in grades 7 - 12, compete for cash awards. This concert is exciting on several levels. First, there is the music! The performers are definitely loaded for big game, so the music is top quality. And second, they are all after the big prize.
The adjudicators for the Playoff Concert are Dr. Svend Rønning from Pacific Lutheran University, Lisa Bergman world-renown pianist and KING FM host, and conductor Mario Alejandro Torres from Honduras and PhD candidate at the University of Washington.
Eastside Artists Concerts
These concerts feature First Place winners from all Solo and Ensemble classes of all ages. Each concert provides a wide array of exceptional Eastside Artists from age 9 to over 60. There are violinists, pianists, singers with musical theatre songs and opera arias, cellists, string quartets, flutes, a bassoon, string quartet. In general, each concert features about twelve performers, and every concert is different.
These concerts are free and open to the public. It is part of our appreciation to the community for its support.
