Enrollment Period has Ended
No new enrollments will be accepted. When we start scheduling the classes, if we find there is room for one or two more, we will move some students from the wait list into the class. When we have finished scheduling, PAFE will refund the fees of any remaining wait listed students.
Each performer will play one or two selections of contrasting styles. Concerto movements and compositions written to be played with orchestra may not be played as solos. All selections must be played from memory.
Unaccompanied solo sonatas may be played in the Solo Section. However, sonatas that include a piano plus a Cello or Bass must have a student performer on piano and played in the Ensemble Section. If a sonata is to be played in the Ensemble Section, the entry rules for ensembles apply.
To qualify for the Concerto Section, each performer must also enter a class in the Solo Section with appropriate solo repertoire. Performers are expected to play, from memory, one or two movements of a standard concerto repertoire work. An accompanist is required.
An ensemble should be registered in the class that corresponds to the age of the oldest member of the ensemble. Names and instruments of all members of the ensemble shall be listed on the registration and the ensemble name. Only one registration and entry fee is necessary for the ensemble.
Any class consisting of three or fewer performers will be combined with another class
