Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside
PAFE announces dates for 26th annual music festival
Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside has announced the dates for the 26th annual music festival in April, 2012. The festival is open to performers from age 6 to adult, who are studying an instrument, and also to singers from grade 9 to adult in standard repertoire and opera. Cash awards are given for outstanding performers.
The adjudications will be held April 10-14, with the Concerto Playoff Concert on Friday, April 13th at 7:00 PM, and four Recognition Concerts on April 21st and 22nd, at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM each day. All events will again be held at Saint Andrew's Lutheran Church, near Bellevue College. Online registration for those who wish to perform in the festival will begin in January on the website.
There are two open board positions available for the 2012 Festival. The Volunteer Coordinator schedules and leads the volunteers who help with the festival. Last year's volunteers are already looking forward to being a part of the festival again this season. The Hospitality Coordinator arranges for feeding the adjudicators and volunteers at the festival, arranges for refreshments at each of the concerts, and coordinates lodging and transportation for the adjudicators. People who are interested in these positions should send e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
