Each performer will play one or two selections of contrasting styles. Concerto movements and compositions written to be played with orchestra may not be played as solos. All selections must be played from memory.
Unaccompanied solo sonatas may be played in the Solo Section. However, sonatas that include a piano plus a Cello or Bass may only be performed by an ensemble.
To qualify for the Concerto Section, each performer must first enter a class in the Solo Section. Performers are expected to play from memory, one or two movements of a standard repertoire work within the time limit.
An ensemble should be registered in the class that corresponds to the age of the oldest member of the ensemble. Names and instruments of all members of the ensemble, and the ensemble name, shall be listed on the registration. Each member must enroll for the ensemble separately.
Any class consisting of three or fewer performers will be combined with another class.
