Solo Section
Each performer will play on one or two selections. When playing two selections, we recommend they be of contrasting styles. Concerto movements may not be played as solos. All selections must be played from memory.
Concerto Section
To qualify for the Concerto Section, each performer must first register for a class in the Solo Section. Performers are expected to play, from memory, one or two movements of a standard concerto repertoire work.
Ensemble Section
The ensemble section in the Violin-Viola Division is for all string instruments. For more details on registering an ensemble, see the Registration section.
