Piano

Solo Sections

Each performer will play one or two selections. When playing two selections, we recommend they be of contrasting styles. All selections must be played from memory.

Concerto Section

To qualify for the Concerto Section, each performer must first register for a class in the Solo Section. Performers are expected to play from memory, one or two movements of a standard repertoire work within the time limit.

Ensemble Section

Each ensemble will play on one piano (four hands or six hands) or on two pianos (four hands or eight hands). Performers may use sheet music. For details on registering in an ensemble, see the Registration section.

Note: Teachers should plan to attend the entire class.
